My favourite movie is Withnail & I, a British film in which two unemployed actors, Withnail and “I”  are waiting for their careers to take off while living in 1969 London. Needing a holiday, they obtain the key to the country cottage in the Lake District belonging to Withnail’s flamboyantly gay uncle Monty and drive there. The holiday is less ‘recuperative’ than they expect.  Without exaggeration, I have seen this movie at least 20 times and can quote it verbatim.

Movie nights are lots of fun and don’t require much planning.  All you need is a tv and dvd player, a comfy chair, a soft blanket, some popcorn, candy (especially Swedish berries) and an icy cold Coke in a glass bottle.  Now I have to try to stay awake……
