I need to work out but I don’t want to join a gym and I don’t really enjoy sports. I’ve tried working out at home but I never stayed as motivated as I did at the gym in the past or with a trainer. I think I may have found my answer. I first read about Bodyrock.tv in an October issue of the New York Times Magazine. It’s a free fitness blog focused on helping people from all walks of life get into shape at home. Most days, between Monday and Friday, a new exercise or tip is posted on the website. There are recipes, nutritional tips and loads of work-outs on Bodyrock.tv. A lot of the work-outs are hard-core, but with motivation, perseverance and practice, I’m sure I can (eventually) do them.
January 2 2012 began a 30-day challenge which I have committed to doing. I started yesterday with the fit test and I promise to sweat and ache my way through. It’s not going to be easy, but I’ll give it my best. Do any of you want to join in? Let me know and we can keep each other motivated. I’ll be your biggest cheerleader if you promise to be mine.
Here’s the video for day 1 of the 30 day challenge: the 7 exercise fit test.
Oh, to look like her……

…… or like her

I’ll let you know how I fared at the end of my 30-day challenge.

Christine, Saturday and Sunday are my days of rest! James and I started together and we’re determined to finish. He’s so fit because of his cycling but even he was sore this morning. My quads are killing me today and I have to do another one this afternoon. God help me.
Join me Saturday mornings for boot camp classes! I’ll pick you up! This girl’s routine is exactly what we do in our classes!
I sympathize with you Marie, I’m not a gym person either, although I do force my butt to those Saturday morning bootcamp classes of mine.
So, yes I will watch this girl’s video clips daily and try to motivate myself as well. Keep sending them our way.
Let’s get back in shape!
