Hope

I haven’t been cooking or baking much in the last few days.  I’ve been so busy preparing for Christmas:  decorating the house, trimming the tree, shopping for gifts, wrapping gifts.  The usual stuff that people who celebrate Christmas do.With last Friday’s horrific tragedy, my heart and mind are in a bit of a dark place.  Like everyone with young children (although mine are 16 and 12), I cannot fathom the heartwrenching pain and confusion the parents, siblings and loved ones of the fallen are experiencing, especially at such a child-centric time of year.

For today, I thought I’d leave you with some messages that I find inspirational.  Maybe together, we can figure this thing out.  There are no simple solutions; it’s not just about gun control or helping the mentally ill or dealing with angry and entitled white males.  It’s a bit of everything and then some.
