"Always read something that will make you look good if you die in the middle of it"~P.J. O'Rourke

For me, a life without books would be no life at all.  Reading is one of my favourite pastimes.  I read almost anything I can get my hands on that interests me.  I'm one of those annoying people who reads labels at the grocery store but at least I don't stand in the middle of the aisle and block it.  I read cookbooks, magazines, online newspapers and I always have a novel on the go; currently it's Disaster Preparedness by Heather Havrilesky.  I read in bed, on the sofa, in the tub (dropping the September issue of Vogue is always a risk), in the car (not when I'm driving though).  I belong to 2 different libraries and I also buy a lot of books.  Oh well, I guess I could be spending my money on other vices - reading's not so bad.

Do you have any good book recommendations for me?  What is the best book that you've ever read and what did you love about it so much?
